More than just an overlay tool

Accessibility

We believe that digital accessibility cannot be installed. Accessibility is a process and there are tools that greatly simplify and accelerate this process. Our Eye-Able® tools are designed to do just that: To enable accessibility in the most efficient way possible.

Ultimately, accessibility should always be improved by and for people.

The most important thing about our approach is that Eye-Able® is much more than just the assistive technology (Assist) and also includes an automated audit software called Eye-Able® Audit and Report.

With Eye-Able® audit and report you can easily identify many common WCAG accessibility issues such as missing alternative text, contrast issues, ARIA syntax or poor website structure. We also scan PDF documents linked to from the website and analyze SEO aspects such as broken links and, in the near future, Lighthouse or spelling.

Our software helps you to identify and fix problems quickly. Because we scan the entire domain and not just individual subpages, our automatic scan can provide feedback that would not be possible with manual tests alone.

Goal: Even non-accessibility experts should be able to recognize and fix problems in web interfaces.

Eye-Able® Discover Assist

Our assistance software Eye-Able® Assist on the other hand, was developed in collaboration with the German Foundation for the Blind, among others, to provide easily accessible visual functions (such as contrast, font size or reading aloud) to users who do not use or receive any other assistive technologies. These may be older people or users with mild visual or cognitive impairments. We would like to emphasize that we do not perform any automatic "AI" optimizations, i.e. improvements through artificial intelligence, with Eye-Able® Assist.

Goal: In contrast to other overlay providers, who have been heavily criticized for their false promises, we enable additional usability adjustments. We stick to our guns: accessibility cannot be "installed".

Our combination of inspection software and assistance software is aimed at two different groups of people.
